1. Dawn Golden - All I Want

VERY excited to hear new music from Dawn Golden, aka Dexter Tortoriello, the other half of Houses. Check out the video for the first single, All I Want, off the new album, Still Life, set to be released this Spring on Mad Decent. Also, if you haven’t already heard the Blow EP, you should get thee to the YouTube and have a listen. Here’s a start.

  2. Glass Animals - Gooey

Sexy, dreamlike soul. Drink it up now or at SXSW. The Gooey EP will be out April 8.

  3. Hugo Hans - Beginners

Check out this beautiful album by Hugo Hans out of Brooklyn. Take in the lush harmonies perfectly balanced between moody rock and dancey indie pop. Listen to the full tracks, Wildrunners and Cannibals, here.

All nine tracks are also available on iTunes. Get on it.

    Youth Lagoon - Worms

That Trevor Powers is writing songs for anything doing with SPACE makes me… melt through wormholes.

Lefse Records will be putting out a compilation called The Space Project with a number of other artists. Again, SPACE.

  7. Damien Jurado - Silver Timothy

The ethereal, psychedelic beauty that is the sound of Damien Jurado’s upcoming album, Brothers and Sisters of the Eternal Son, has me demanding a road trip. To dive into the backseat of my friend’s jeep and just hit the road, deep into the forests and countryside. Air drum to the full album here, before its release on January 21.

Also, if you dig the inner workings of the creative process as much as I do, then definitely watch the video from the creative strategists themselves, Damien Jurado and producer, Richard Swift, on this sequel to Maraqopa.

  8. Jagwar Ma - Why’d You Only Call Me When You’re High? (Arctic Monkeys Cover)

These guys out of Australia are my fave. They’re putting together a series of covers aptly titled, “Like A Version.” Check out this cover off of Arctic Monkeys’ latest album AM, with a little hit of Ace of Base’s “All That She Wants” to finish ‘er off.

  9. Panama - Always EP

Immediate love for the easy, breezy beats on the follow-up EP, Always, from the Aussie electro group, Panama.

    Listen/purchase: Always EP by Panama

  10. Cut Copy - Free Your Mind

Sexy Jesus, chiseled abs, headphone sex, make-believe basketball, and impromptu baptisms, all tried to distract me from the psychedelically bouncy new title cut from Cut Copy’s as yet released album, Free Your Mind. But it was unsuccessful in its distraction, as I freely gyrated about the room, smiling. Very much anticipating this album’s release on November 5.
